Biography

Al Jassmi’s fame began in 1996 from his birthplace, the city of Khorfakkan, among the mountains and the spectacular sandy beach of Sharjah-UAE. He spread his music and sense from the UAE to the whole world, through performing on the most important magnificent Arab and global theaters. Al Jassmi has broken records in concert attendance and albums sales, as well as hitting the highest songs viewing and listening records across the social media, his YouTube channel and others with more than three billions views over more than one thousand two hundred artistic content.
 

He sang poems of the founding father of the UAE late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a big number of sheikhs and princes, as well as the most famous Arab poets.

He was conferred the highest official titles and decorations. His Royal Majesty Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, awarded him the Medal of Merit of the First Grade. Also, His royal Majesty King Mohammad VI, King of Morocco, with the attendance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz Al Saoud, awarded him Al Alawi Decoration of the Commander Grade.”

His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi extended special thanks to Al Jassmi, during his live performance at the official celebration of "October Victory" for his great popularity and for his numerous contributions in supporting Egypt artistically and socially. He conferred the title “Hussian Al Masri” on him.

Her Majesty Queen Nour Al Hussein conferred him the decoration of Sheikha Fatma Bent Mubarak for his participation in the International Conference on Arab Children held in Abu Dhabi; His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored him in the Social Communication Summit held in Dubai; His Royal Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahayyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior in UAE granted him the medal of community service in addition to several other key honours and decorations.

Hussain Al Jassmi was granted two honorary doctorates: the first was awarded by the Arts Academy in Egypt in 2015 and the second was awarded to him by Cape Briton Government University (CBU) in Canada in 2017.

In 2012 Arabian Business Magazine selected him to be one of the most powerful and influential 500 Arab political, economic and social figures. In 2016, the World Association of Former Interns and Fellows (of the United Nations) of the Economic and Social Council selected him as one of the most influential 20 characters in the Arab world. The selection was made by academics and experts from Harvard, Georgetown, George Washington universities.

In the Forbes’s 2017, Al Jassmi was among the most 100 powerful figures in the Arab world.

Furthermore, he was awarded many local, Arab and international awards, like Murex d'or, BIAF and ART. In Russia, on the historical Kremlin Palace’s theater, he was the first Arab singer to receive the Bravo Awards, an annual global award, for being "The Most Popular Artist in MENA".
 

He was honored by the MBC media group after a referendum as "The Most Important Artistic Figure of 2018".

He was the first Arab Muslim artist to participate in the international charity Christmas cerebration “Concerto Di Natale” in 2018 in the Vatican in Paul VI Audience Hall. He performed his songs to the tunes of the Grand Orchestra.

Hussain Al Jassmi is one of the key effective figures supporting the national Emirati causes and objectives. Thanks to him, the national celebrations in UAE were broadcast all over the Arab world. He spared no effort in supporting and backing Arab peoples considering all Arab countries as his own homeland.

On the humanitarian level, high ranking and official authorities lauded his various humanitarian efforts. He was appointed by IIMSAM, the permanent international observer of the UN, as a good will ambassador, then was promoted to “Extraordinary Goodwill Ambassador”, becoming the first Emirati and Arab artist to get this honorable title. 
 

In 2019 and inaugurated as the “Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador” of the UAE Red Crescent and the Big Heart Foundation.

He also made recurrent visits to camps of refugees, displaced, and the afflicted like the Syrian refugee camp in Mafraq region of Jordan. He personally led a convoy of Emirati humanitarian aids to support the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip during being exposed to bombardment and aggression. He also visited the Iraqi displaced camp in Erbil and inaugurated “Ataya Hospital for Maternity and Childhood” and he laid the foundation stone of the ophthalmology hospital of Her Royal Highness Sheikha Fatma Bent Mubarak. In addition, he pays great interest in the community service and follow-up of the needs of the people of determination and special needs throughout the Arab world.

Based on a special invitation to visit the Vatican, Dr. Hussein Al Jassmi met with Pope Francis of the Vatican, conveying the values of tolerance between all religions and peoples, representing his homeland the UAE and all the people of the Arab world.

In 2019 the Executive Committee of the "Dubai Expo 2020 " contracted him to be the Brand Ambassador of Expo 2020, and this is a great honor.
 

Being a professional pianist, Al Jassmi forms his own unique modern music, which is reflected in a unique musical vision via distinguished melodies, songs and composing, which led to making the Emirati and Arab content acquire world fame. A large number of his works have become among the eternal Arab and international music libraries leading him to be a well recognized poet, composer and singer.
